      Periodontist treat patient’s teeth, gums, and related parts of the mouth. They also:

·       Remove decay from teeth and fill cavities

·       Straighten teeth or correct bite issues

·       Write prescriptions for antibiotics or other medications

Educational requirement:

Most students need at least a bachelor’s degree before entering dental school.
